Quality Programs
Safety Program
The safety program is hospital-wide and covers both patient and personnel. The program is designed to effectively accomplish surveillance, prevention and control of safety hazards to reduce risk of injury and life threatening conditions to patients, visitors and staff.
Quality/Risk Management
The program goal is to improve patient care through monitoring and evaluating data that identifies opportunities to improve care.
Infection Control Program
The infection control program is a plan of action to prevent the spread of diseases when possible and set up measures to reduce the impact in those cases that cannot be prevented.
The program is designed by a qualified, experienced Infections Control Practitioner to reduce the risk of transmission of infections among employees, patients, medical staff, contracted service providers, volunteers, students and visitors.
Staff Education
The Education Department provides education and training for all hospital staff with the goal of ensuring staff competency and safe practices as well as providing general hospital orientation, annual safety training and compliance education.
SPEAKUP
We encourage our patients to be active participants in their health care through the "SPEAKUP" program.
Speak up if you have any questions or concerns, and if you don't understand, ask again.
Pay attention to the care you are receiving. Ask questions when you don't understand.
Educate yourself about your diagnosis, medical tests and plan of care.
Ask a trusted family member or friends to be with you in case you are unable to ask questions for yourself.
Know what medications you take.
Use a health care organization that has undergone rigorous on-site evaluations.
Participate in decisions about your treatment. You are the center of your health care team.
